I have been working on a new series of self portraits for the past few months, all are the same size, oil on panel. I've really enjoyed working on these, and not only has helped me develop my painting skills but it has made me think of my body differently. Creating these has forced me to stare at my body for long periods of time and undoubtedly changed my self image for the better. I hope when I have finished painting these and learning about myself, I can use this series and my experience to help other women who have struggled with the same insecurities that have haunted me my entire life.
